Fido Fights Cancer

Humans and dogs have been partners for thousands of years. Now our canine friends are joining the fight against cancer. Researchers are training dogs to to smell cancer in the breath samples of human patients. And by studying cancers in dogs, we may discover new treatments for cancer in human and canine cancer patients.

    It's hard to describe the emotions of hearing the words "Your dog has cancer." And it can be an interesting lesson when you externalize those emotions. Many people understand and sympathize. Others might be thinking "Dude, it's just a dog." For me, my dog Brodie is much more than "just a dog." For me he has been a constant companion and a dear friend.. my best pal through thick and thin.
