Todd comes to QUEST from WHYY in Philadelphia, where he is the health and science producer for WHYY’s NewsWorks web portal. Prior to joining WHYY, he spent over a decade and a half as a freelance commercial, editorial and fine-art photographer. He has taught photography for the last decade at Philadelphia University. On assignment, Todd has found himself dangling by a rope off a 13-story building (he’s not superstitious), hanging out of a helicopter, and scrambling 5 stories deep in an abandoned mine – what he refers to as “a good day at the office.” He has a deep abiding interest in the natural world. In he scarce free time he has, he likes to practice falling off a surfboard at the Jersey shore.
