It's great to ban plastic bags! It is a great step in the "behavioral modifications" required to reduce our overall plastic consumption. It requires a commitment to change and willingness to try new things. We need a brilliant marketing campaign that makes plastic as uncool as speedos in the U.S.

I think its a very smart idea because if you goto the beaches in pacifica you will see paper vags every where and to have that made is great.

I'm delighted to hear that countries around the world are addressing the plastic issue…….I would hope more ciries in the United States ban the plastic bags and start thinking about our environment.

I agree with this article that plastic is doing horrible things to the environment, and its great that Daniel is doing something to try and change that. They should just start using his idea to recycle plastic stuff everywhere so we can stop polluting.

I don't really care too much if plastic bags are or aren't being recycled, but that if that Daniel kid can recycle it then go for it which ever is more convenient. I don't really see why they would ban it in China though I mean those people do enough saving the enviroment by riding bikes around everywhere they've done enough.

The banning of plastic bags in major grocery stores, is about the best environmental choice that the city of San Francisco has made in awhile. Burd the student who has discovered a new way to have plastic decomposed was a great finding. Hopefully this new technique will help out other places decide to do the same as San Francisco. Six weeks is way more efficient than waiting 1000 years. And saving wildlife is always a plus in my book.

I think that it is good that people are finding ways to recycle plastic and that eventually everone can recycle their plastic.Six weeks is better than 1000 years.

Finding ways to recycle plastic bags is better than not recycling them at all. I think it is more efficient to have them decompose than just having them being thrown out. The world would be much cleaner if everyone would recycle thier plastic bags. It would save time rather than having to wait 6 weeks.

This is a great thing that Burd invented. The enviorment has been suffering a lot due to new technologies and the advancement of the world. It took a long time but im happy to see technology and inteligence giving back to the enviorment.
