The video would seem to suggest that there are a number of parents groups that regularly meet in someone's house to because they're trying to find the time to be outside.

Just out of curiosity, why not hold the meetings in the park?

I am Gabriela's mother. Her father and I finally decided to allow our daughters to continue camping because we had been assured that safety would be guaranteed at the campsite. Although we never stopped worrying we realized that we would either have to let them continue camping or ban their scouting experiences altogether.

The scouting opportunity was particularly important to us because our daughters out-of-doors freedom had been limited considerably during their younger years due to the typical parental fears of kidnapping and child molestation. They had never enjoyed that incredibly liberating independence, that wonderfully exciting and entertaining investigative immersion in nature and "the great outdoors" that we had experienced and loved as youngsters.

Having my daughters give up their scouting weeks in "our" mountains would have been a very sad option.
