Considering the need for wood, I'm not anti-logging, but am pro-forest management.

But in the case of the redwoods, where their natural range worldwide is so limited, it seems rediculous that so much logging was allowed for as long as it was.

On this topic, I've got two pages you might find of interest:

1.

http://www.mdvaden.com/redwood_climbing.shtml

2.

http://www.mdvaden.com/grove_of_titans.shtml

Especially the first one. The second is mainly an info page and photo storehouse for the oldest coast redwoods of undisclosed groves.

The one about potential wear and tear from research climbing, is the one I'm tossing in the arena of thought this winter season.

Cheers,

MDV or OR

The redwoods NEVER should have been removed and NEVER should be! Thanks to our president who doesn't care! These trees are something other countries haven't got and should be preserved forever!
